What to write to us about

• A price question. Tell us the battery size you are pricing, nominal or usable, and anything already quoted.
• A correction. Say which page and which figure. We check it against the source, fix anything wrong and update the page's review date.
• A newer source. If DESNZ, HMRC or another body has published something newer than the dates on our pages, we want to know.

What happens when you report a mistake

1. We find the source the figure came from and read it again.
2. If we were wrong, or the source has changed, we correct every page that uses the figure, not just the one you wrote about.
3. We update the "last reviewed" date on those pages and the date on our sources page.
4. We reply to tell you what changed, or why we think the figure stands.

What we can and can't help with

We can explain what the official figures say about the size you are pricing, point out which lines seem to be missing from a quote, and tell you which register or scheme page to check. We can't inspect your home, say whether a particular spot meets the fire-protection rules, approve a network application or recommend a brand: those belong to a qualified installer and, for the network, to your local operator.

If your question is about money you have already paid, a dispute with a firm or a contract you want to cancel, the consumer code the installer belongs to and Citizens Advice are the right places to start. We will say so in our reply rather than leave you waiting.
