Who publishes this site
Solar Battery Price is published by SEO-DONS LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under number 16766013, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. You can check the company on the Companies House register. SEO-DONS LTD publishes information websites on home energy topics; this is one of them.
We are not an installer, retailer, manufacturer, lender or credit broker. We hold no trade accreditation, and we don't display badges, ratings or reviews of our own, because we have nothing of that kind to show. Where this site mentions MCS, TrustMark or consumer codes such as RECC and HIES, it is telling you which registers to check an installer against, not claiming membership.
Who runs the site
The site is run by SEO-DONS LTD. If you send an enquiry through the form, it comes to the company and we reply by email. As at 3 November 2026, no installer, manufacturer, retailer or lender has seen or approved anything on it.
Our editorial rules
- One source for prices. Installed prices come from DESNZ's statistics on batteries registered with MCS. Which? appears only as a marked secondary source. We never use advertised "from" prices, because what they include is unknown.
- Show the arithmetic. Anything we derive, from a modelled price to a share of the sample, is labelled as our arithmetic, and the methodology page sets out the method.
- Date everything. Every page lists its sources and the date each was last read, and carries a "last reviewed" date.
- No headline savings. A bill figure appears only when you enter your own tariff, for year one only, with the share of solar a home uses itself capped at 75% without a battery and 90% with one. No payback periods, no lifetime totals.
- No grant claims. There is no national grant for home batteries, and we say so plainly. Loans are described as loans.
- No brands ranked. We don't publish brand prices, brand pages or "best battery" lists.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it and update the page's review date. Tell us through the contact page.
Why build a site about battery prices?
Because the most useful number in the market is hard to find. DESNZ has published what home batteries actually cost per kWh, size band by size band, for two full years. Most of what you find when you search for a battery price is a shop listing, an advertised "from" figure or a range with no source. A site that puts the official figure first, explains what it covers and shows how to compare a quote with it seemed worth making.
